Fourerr or Fiverr? The 2013 winner is ...

By Jason Flynn

First and foremost - Let us get one thing straight - if you don't know about Fourerr or Fiverr, you've been obviously hiding in a cavern somewhere in a remote town in Alaska without Internet access. To clue you in, Fourerr and Fiverr are two web marketplace offering or linking service providers and clients. Regardless of the two rather novel names, the differences could be microscopic - So how different are the two sites? You might ask?

Having used the 2 sites, I've realized that almost all the providers at Fourerr supply a very fast and frequently turning around work in just one or two hours, unlike Fiverr where more than 20% of the all the suppliers I used returned/finished the work after a set cut-off point had lapsed and occasionally the results looked rushed.

Despite the similarities in the buying process. The most important difference is the cost - at Fourerr all gigs are worth $4 (therefore the name Fourerr) however Fiverr gigs may go from $5 to $150 (thus the name Fiverr).

Early last year, Fiverr introduced the Levels feature which is made of 3 levels: Level 1, Level 2, and Top Rated Seller. Going up one level higher permit sellers to get access to selling tools to rake in more takings, despite this clever modify, gigs at Fourerr are still costing an enormous 20% less - Do I actually need to point out more? I suspect not?

They are saying customer service is maybe a company's best selling tool and I'm sure someone at Fourerr is contented with all the glowing reviews about their wonderful purchaser/user support, from the other perspective, many sellers on Fiverr are whinging about the ridiculous shopper Support or the non-existence of it? Please include me in the various sellers moaning.

Have you used both websites? If the answer's yes, then I am sure you'll know where I am coming from here. While Fourerr offers a more polished and much well designed website. The years appear to have taken a heavy toll on Fiverr's site. The site is too dishevelled with a large amount of company lingo, unlike the private and friendlier site offered by Fourerr.

Lastly the owner from Fourerr seems to know how to utilize all the latest technologies, there is a YouTube channel and since recently a free and very informative Fourerr podcast on iTunes.

Don't get me wrong? I didn't want this fast review to seem like a slam dunk for Fourerr but if something is that good you have to highlight the merits. Fiverr is and always will be the pathfinder but the chain-belt approach of one size fits everyone might harm its user-base as the years take a heavy toll.
